Have you ever imagined you were Gandalf or Legolas? How about Aragorn or Gimili? Maybe you are more of a Frodo or Samwise? This is your quest. Your journey....get your Fellowship together.
The Cabin challenge
The Blue Hill Cabin Challenge is a serious ride is for serious cyclists. The ride is not easy . There are four routes. The CC Full Monty...you get everything....mostly pain. The CC Originale is serious. The Fondo....you can drink beer the entire time. The Fonduece ....you're definitely riding for a while, but it is leisurely. The Full Monty and Originale rides are often steep and full of Cat 1-5 climbs. TheFull Monty will take you up the Blue Monster. A six mile sustained climb. Throughout the ride you will encounter beautiful Catskill Mountains, pristine mountain streams, and wild life. The ride starts and ends in New Paltz, NY.
Rockin Recovery and riding the ridge
This ride takes place as part of Ulster County Recovery Fest. It's a time to raise awarness for those effected by drug and alcohol addiction. The ride also raises money to support programs dedcated to helping people in their fight against addiction.
Two Great Rides
30 mile--primarily a flat but scenic ride through farm country. 50 mile--rolling hills that will take you up to the Ashokan Reservior.
Under the Stars at Morningstar
This popular event is a 3.5 mile run in the dark. Runners will run three 1.16 mile loops through the Morningstar neighborhood. Three times runners will run through a chute of Tiki torches and bonfires. All participants will receive glow sticks. Unique awards will be given to the top finishers. This event is dog friendly. Walkers are welcome.
For a Good Cause
This event is free...but we take donations. No donation is too big. All proceeds go to the Food Pantry of St. Joe's of New Paltz.
